"Green occupies more space in the spectrum visible to the human eye and is second only to blue as a favorite color. Green is the pervasive color in the natural world that is an ideal backdrop in interior design because we are so used to seeing it everywhere.
The natural greens, from forest to lime, are seen as tranquil and refreshing, with a natural balance of cool and warm (blue and yellow) undertones. Green is considered the color of peace and ecology. However, there is an "institutional" side to green, associated with illness or Government-issued that conjure up negative emotions as do the "slimy" or bilious greens.
How the color green affects us physically and mentally
* Soothing
* Relaxing mentally as well as physically
* Helps alleviate depression, nervousness and anxiety
* Offers a sense of renewal, self-control and harmony"

Lime Green
Lime Green was first recorded to be used as a color name in Englinsh in the year of 1905. The color got its name because of its similarity to the shades of limes (the citrus fruit).

:)
There is a lime flavored Gatorade, which is also the color of lime green. The newer G-series Gatorade has a low-calorie G2 Lime Gatorade. This is my favorite.
The Crayola crayon "Electric Lime" was created in 1990.

About the color..
"The colour lime green is composed of a secondary and a primary one, and is therefore considered tertiary. Its a mixture of cool and warm colours, but is warmer because it has more yellow. Its complementary shade is fuschia, present directly opposite it on a colour wheel. Therefore these two colours have the highest contrast to each other than to any other colour." http://www.limegreenofficeproducts.co.uk/Lime-Green-s/1833.htm
